Crail's winding streets are full of character, and it is well worth exploring the many ancient buildings. Reminisce bygone days at the museum. Delve around the pottery and galleries for some colourful stoneware, impressions and prints, modern art, sculptures and jewellery. Stroll down to the harbour. Try a freshly dressed crab or even a lobster. Take a walk along the coastal path and maybe glimpse the dolphins. Or just picnic on the beach.

Crail stands on the fringe of beautiful rolling countryside and at the end of a chain of fascinating fishing villages. The Fife Coastal Path, with its stunning seascapes over the Firth of Forth, hugs the coastline and The Millenium Cycle Ways network allows exploration of the East Neuk. Amongst the attractions are Scotland's Secret Bunker, Kellie Castle, Falkland Palace and The Scottish Fisheries Museum. Long sandy beaches are within a few minutes drive and a boat trip can be taken to view the seabirds and seals on The Isle of May. As well as its shopping and modern theatre, the historic university town of St Andrews offers fabulous botanical gardens, an aquarium and the most famous golf course in the world.
